Het Nederlandse MoMac heeft voor het Engelse telecombedrijf '3' 's werelds eerste gepersonaliseerde nieuwskiosk ontwikkeld. Binnen de 'kiosk' kunnen gebruikers hun eigen mobiele nieuws- en informatieportaal samenstellen. De nieuwskiosk is ontwikkeld op basis van GoMedia, MoMac's prijswinnende platform voor mobiele media en informatiediensten.

Een groot aantal Britse uitgevers en nieuwsleveranciers stelt content en 'media brands' voor de nieuwskiosk ter beschikking, waaronder het laatste nieuws en videoclips van enkele persbureaus. Ook magazines van Bauer (FHM en Heat), IPC (Marie Claire en New Musical Express), Future (T3), Cnet en Dennis (Men's Fitness en Auto Express) worden in de kiosk opgenomen. Een groot aantal dagbladen zal binnenkort volgen.

Groot voordeel van de mobiele kiosk is dat de gebruikers vanuit één systeem zelf hun voorkeuren voor een groot aantal verschillende mobiele Internet sites en informatiediensten kunnen aangeven. Zo kan een eigen combinatie van nieuws, sport, business en file-informatie worden samengesteld, eventueel aangevuld met je persoonlijke daghoroscoop of favoriete aandelenfondsen.

Laurens Rutten, Business Development Director van MoMac over de nieuwskiosk: "Juist voor gebruikers van Internet op een mobiele telefoon is het belangrijk om snel en eenvoudig de juiste content te vinden. Hoe meer clicks hiervoor benodigd zijn, hoe meer bezoekers zullen afhaken. Gepersonaliseerde informatiediensten zijn daarom een uitkomst. Het is fantastisch dat we met in Nederland ontwikkelde technologie in de grootste mediamarkt van Europa van start zijn gegaan." Naar verwachting zullen gepersonaliseerde mobiele informatiediensten ook door Nederlandse MoMac klanten ingezet gaan worden.

Onlangs werd MoMac nog verkozen tot een van de winnaars van de "Red Herring 100, 2008". Het mobiele mediaplatform GoMedia ondersteunt inmiddels meer dan 500 mobiele websites. GoMedia stelt mediabedrijven in staat om zelf professionele mobiele sites te exploiteren, inclusief streaming video, mobiele advertenties en 'social networking'. Het platform maakt de mobiele websites geschikt voor zowel eenvoudige telefoons als ook voor 'smartphones', BlackBerry en iPhone.
